Creating a dropbox account
This lesson assists you to open a dropbox account which will then be our storage centre or parking lot for our files used in case management from home. You will now use the recently opened gmail address to open the drop box account. Simply follow the camtasia video below to undertake this process or click the creating a dropbox account link. I find it useful to keep the dropbox icon on my bottom toolbar of my computer for ease of use. I also have the dropbox in my file manager which helps me to either copy and paste or drag and drop the files as I need to. The drop box is free-for 5 GB (2013) however if your usage increases you can buy space at 50GB for approximately $9.99 US a month. 5GB is enough however if you fill this with large video files you may need more later. Up to date costing can be found by googling dropbox.
Creating files inside dropbox
Now you have your dropbox parking lot good to go, we need to start drawing out the white lines to store the cars or create the files to store our documents. To do this we open files just as we would on our computer. It is important to think in an organised manner when arranging your information.
